Microsoft’s OneNote program is a magnificent program that is used to keep details, notes, and data together in one place. Onenote also remains itself synced to other computers – meaning all your data is always with you. You can access your data anywhere When you first open OneNote you will meet with an excellent introductory “notebook”. Be sure when you go through this. you will know about the OneNote application how powerful and helpful it is.
You will notice your notebooks will appear on the left-hand side of your computer screen. Thought of each notebook like one of the three-ring binders you used in Your high school. Open a notebook and you will see tabs running on the top of the Computer screen. These tabs are like the dividers in your three-ring binder. Look on the right-hand side of the computer screen and you will see another set of smaller tabs. These tabs are like the sheets of notebook paper in your binder. Microsoft has done a really good job with Onenote – this format is instinctive and very easy to use.
You will quickly get how to use it. If you have a very big project you can allocate a whole notebook to it. Or you can allocate one notebook to work notes and one for personal notes. It’s up to your work need and you will allocate the notebook as per your project need.
You can set the divider tabs for each of the notebooks that will make the most sense for you. For example, you have a general notes tab in your work notebook, then have a list of tabs for each project you’re working on. Onenote has a search feature where you can search quickly and easily through every section of the notebook, or the entire program if you can’t find where you’ve stored a piece of data. You can also set a whole series of tabs inside one notebook. If you have a very big project inside your work notebook. It’s growing out in one tab and you want to spread it in more tabs – without creating a new notebook.
You can create a sub-notebook, contained within your existing notebook. You can easily drag and drop the pages and the sections around and inside the program. You can also create sub-pages of your project if you want to group sets of pages jointly.
As I have discussed above, Onenote sparkles with its ability to sync. And this makes it ideal for keeping your notes coordinated between home and work computers, or perhaps between your desktop and your laptop computers. Another best way to use this is to have notebooks you share with your coworker and mate. You can share out a notebook that contains notes and project plans with your team members – everyone gets the notebook in their copy of Onenote. The program automatically syncs your data so you can keep up with what’s going on with the project – live. You and your mate can share important family information, keeping everything up-to-date between you and your family.
Onenote can be used taking notes on everything, and as you start using the program you will find how to do it. It’s important to use it beneficially. Keep your information in an ordered form and placed it in logical notebooks. Use sub-pages and sub-notebooks when you need to keep the information clean. You can add notebooks if it’s a really big project and it makes sense to do so. And don’t be afraid to use the search function if you can’t find anything. This information is enough to use Microsoft office Onenote.
